Shavat
by
Natalie Simon née Kendel

Released January 10, 2014

Following a narrative from the morning of Creation of Genesis, to the echoing words of Isaiah in the temple courts, the blindness of the Pharisees, the healing restoration of Jesus, and the table set for a wedding feast in Revelation, Shavat invites the listener to experience the Sabbath.

Shavat presents Sabbath as not as an exclusive experience for Jews or certain Christians, but an invitation to all mankind from God. It speaks of God’s will for human beings as being one of rest, revival, holistic restoration and trust in his care. And it all begins when we remembering who He is.

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy…”
Exodus 20:8, The Bible
