This album is dedicated to my daughter Isabella Faith. When we first heard my wife was pregnant, I knew I wanted to do something like this. I was instantly inspired by the verse in Psalms 139:14-17 that says:
"Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was WOVEN together in the dark of the womb.
You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.
How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.
They cannot be numbered!"
The track names are pretty much this verse in my own words.
On Sept 11th 2013, we found out that, while still in the womb, Isabella has a form of lethal skeletal dysplasia. This shook our world. But the Lord has been showing us amazing things through this. Now we are only a few months away from her being born and we are clinging to faith that God is going to do the miraculous. We know the Lord is faithful and we are standing firm in our faith waiting for his will to be done.
This album means so much more to me now than it did when I first started. Each song is an honest outpour of emotion that I feel for my not yet born daughter.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed creating it.
